BYRON BANK ANNOUNCES ANNUAL STUFF-A-BUS EVENT

BYRON, ILLINOIS, July 08, 2021 - Byron Bank is collecting school supplies during their annual Stuff-A-Bus event. Having a backpack full of much-needed school supplies is essential to help prepare students for success during the year. With the recent pandemic, more area families are facing financial hardships.

“I don't think the community realizes just how much the supplies they share with us are appreciated,” says Monroe Center Grade School Principal, Deana Simpson.

Items that are most needed are backpacks, crayons, dry erase markers, scissors, spiral notebooks, 1-inch binders, index cards, ear buds or headphones, hygiene kits, and #2 pencils.

“If there is a way that we can help support area families and kids with the tools they need, just like their peers, then they are in the best frame of mind to focus on their learning,” Simpson says. “All students should have the supplies they need to be successful at school and I love being part of a community that believes that!"

All supplies donated will be delivered directly to the Byron School District, Meridian School District, and District 100 in Belvidere and distributed by school staff.

You can support the Byron Bank Stuff-A-Bus event by dropping off new school supplies at any Byron Bank location from now until Saturday, July 31st.

Together we can give students the tools they need to start the school year prepared and confident.
