BYRON BANK TO COLLECT PEANUT BUTTER FOR ROCK RIVER VALLEY PANTRY

BYRON, ILLINOIS, May 12, 2021 -  It’s that time of year! Time for the Rock River Valley Pantry’s Peanut Butter Rally, and Byron Bank is collecting peanut butter at their Byron, Davis Junction and Poplar Grove locations.

“During the summer months when kids are out of school, the Rock River Valley Pantry is an important organization to those families that need help feeding their children,” says Byron Bank President, Brent Baker. “We believe in giving back to our communities and Byron Bank is proud to be a community partner.”

Rock River Valley Pantry’s goal is to collect 20,000 jars of peanut butter. Help Byron Bank collect this protein-rich staple and let’s all help feed hungry children in need this summer.

BYRON, ILLINOIS, April 19, 2021 -  Byron Bank is pleased to announce the addition of Rhonda Sunden as Senior Vice President, Commercial Lending, in our Poplar Grove location.

Rhonda has over 32 years of commercial lending, commercial banking, and portfolio management experience and has held various executive level positions through her career. She believes in building strong banking relationships and providing excellent customer service while helping clients achieve their financial goals.

“We are fortunate to have an accomplished and experienced commercial lender join our team ,” says Byron Bank President, Brent Baker. “Rhonda’s long-time leadership and vast experience and expertise will aid in serving the needs of our customers.”

Rhonda attended the University of Arkansas, majoring in business. She also attended The American Bankers Association (ABA) National Commercial Lending School and the ABA Financial Statement Analysis Workshop  . Rhonda is active in the community, holding a board position at Patriot’s Gateway and is a member of Rockford Downtown Rotary Club. She has also been involved in various organizations including Women of Today’s Manufacturing, Rockford Symphony Orchestra, Girl Scouts of Northern Illinois, Junior Achievement, IL Executive Mansion and United Way.

Kelly’s retail banking and customer service experience is extensive; spanning 30 years. She has held several positions throughout her career and brings a solid understanding of retail banking. Kelly is dedicated to designing financial products to fit the needs of customers.

“Kelly is a wonderful addition to our Byron Bank retail team,” says Byron Bank President, Brent Baker. “Her customer focus, wealth of knowledge and experience, and passion for developing talent will add tremendous value to our customers and our bank.”

Prior to Byron Bank, Kelly held a number of senior leadership and management positions where she developed and mentored employees.

Kelly attended the Graduate School of Banking and the Graduate School of Retail Banking at the University of Wisconsin – Madison. She understands community banking and the importance of supporting community events and organizations.

BYRON BANK TO CLOSE MINI BANK INSIDE COUNTY MARKET

BYRON, ILLINOIS, October 5, 2020 - As of January 1, 2021, the Byron Bank Mini Bank inside County Market at 201 W. Blackhawk Drive in Byron will permanently close.

“Reflecting on the reality of the current environment with COVID-19 and the option for our customers to utilize our main bank location as well as our digital channels, we made the decision to close the Mini Bank location,” says Byron Bank President Brent Baker. “Byron Bank would like to thank the Cacciatore family and County Market for their commitment and partnership over the years.”

Byron Bank lobby hours at the main bank location, located one block north at 200 N. Walnut Street in Byron, are 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Friday and 9 am to 12 pm on Saturdays. The Byron Bank drive-up and walk-up are open 8 am to 5 pm Monday through Wednesday, 8 am to 6 pm on Thursday and Friday, and 8 am to 2 pm on Saturdays.
